Sweet and Short

What is this community about?
Sweet and short is a low-pressure community for creating small fanworks each week.

There will be four regular challenges each month. We will have amnesty days at the end of every month.

The schedule for regular months in 2025 looks like this:
1. Monthly prompts 10 out of 20
8. This or That NEW
15. Only Two = two prompts for writing, two prompts for icons
22. Micro Bingo = four prompts only
29. Amnesty Days

All challenges run until the end of the month, midnight in your timezone. Amnesty days end at the 1st of the following month.

General Rules
Allowed are fics up to 500 words, small poems like haiku or tanka (3-5 lines), icons (100x100 px), and small graphics up to 500px width x height.
Note: During amnesty days, all rules are disabled, and everything is possible.

All fandoms, genres, and ratings are welcome, but please use warnings if applicable. Original works and real-person works are acceptable.

You can combine your works with any other challenge/community, as long as the work is created within the given challenge period at sweetandshort.

Post your work directly to this community. Please use a header of your choice and put bigger works under a cut. You can also post your work at other places like AO3 or your writing journal - in this case, please leave a header and a link at sweetandshort to keep the community running. I would like to ask you to keep the posts unlocked at least until the end of the following month.

Please use the following tags: creator, fandom, work type, and based on. If a tag is missing, use !tag needed.
