He couldn't tell Andrew about the countdown. It was his to handle on his own. It might just have been Rico and the Ravens trying to scare him.
Andrew knowing would likely turn Neal into the boy in the bubble. Protected on all sides, isolated from the thing he loved most in the world. His mother tried to do that as well and looked what happened to her. He couldn't risk losing Andrew in the same way.
So, he'd stay quiet and continue to live his life. If they meant to take him out, at least he'll go out on his terms. No more hiding, no more being afraid to live. He'd meet them head on.
And if he survived, he'd deal with the fallout later.
