“Is it any wonder, Sherlock, that she kept those things,” John waved in the direction of the floor-to-ceiling terrarium, “and was murdered by a poison-tipped arrow?”
“But Belinda insisted to her roommate, her parents, and host of strangers on the internet that the frogs’ diet meant that their secretions were not, in fact, poisonous. Of course, Lestrade’s group will run tests to confirm that, but I’m certain the poison on the arrow didn’t come from her own frogs.”
John sighed. “Well, all that’s left for me to say is that someone went to great lengths to make a nasty point.”
