Sometimes their eyes meet and Neal is shocked by the desire he sees there. Andrew never asks for anything outright. The 'please kiss me' that they write about in romance novels isn't going to drop from his lips. The closest he gets is a simple 'yes or no?'
Neil will never say 'no.' Andrew knows this but is still compelled to ask anyway. He's always initiating when it's like this. It's want, ask permission, take. That's the pattern they fall into.
Neil has occasions where he'll ask Andrew 'yes or no?' It's always a crapshoot. Everything hinges on Andrew's whims. He's learned to work within those boundaries and Andrew 'hates him one hundred percent' for it.
At least that's what he says, but Neal knows better.
