Summary: Genesis POV as SAM tells Genesis they won't be rooming together next year.
Genesis felt as though she had been struck, but it might have been the Klingon drink settling in her stomach. What did SAM mean when she mentioned getting her own room next year?
She was going through some stuff. That was the explanation she gave.
They'd all been going through some stuff. Some very big stuff, but they'd come through on the other side and they were safe now. SAM never said anything to her about “some stuff” before. Did this mean she didn't trust Genesis with her feelings? Genesis who took her in and gave her a place? This was crazy.
Genesis knew she was intense and not everybody's cup of tea, but SAM was the best friend she'd had, and not even having the opportunity to talk about this with her cut like a knife.
