Summary: Sansa, after being crowned Queen of Winterfell
She held her smile until the ceremony had long passed. Queen of the North. Finally. She knew it wasn't what her father had wanted for her- Winterfell had always belonged to the Stark men- Father, then Robb, then Bran, then Rickon. That had always been the line.
Sansa had been groomed to become the wife of a King, never holding Winterfell on her own. She'd been taught needlepoint, how to stand and sit like a lady, how to be pleasant when addressing another person, and how to correctly hold a fork at the dinner table. These were things the Septas had drilled into her. She was to wear pretty dresses and never make an important decision that didn't have something to do with proper seating arrangements for a dinner party.
She missed her Father terribly, but she had wished he had taught her more about leadership. She'd learned her lessons the hard way- through Joffrey and Cersei and even Lord Baelish- who taught her how the system worked. She wouldn't lead like them. She loved the people of Winterfell far too much to abuse her power the ways they had. She knew the weight of the Kingdom would rest on her shoulders for years to come and she smiled, welcoming it.
