Costello's voice came through the phone, “We have a small problem with the police.”
“I'll take care of it,” Colin said. He knew that 'we have a small problem' translated to 'you have a small problem' and that if it wasn't solved in the next twenty-four hours, it would morph into an even bigger problem for him.
A discussion with Ellerby resulted in Colin becoming the point person for the Costello investigation. He was on the way to solving Frank's problem. There was just one small sticking point- Queenan wouldn't give up his undercover. Still, he'd insist on knowing what the undercover found out and if that led Costello to the rat, Colin wouldn't lose any sleep over it.
It was the best he could do, given the circumstances. He hoped Frank would understand.
