The part that Buffy dreaded most when a new group of Slayers arrived at their Scotland HQ, was the welcome speech that she’d been tasked with.
She knew from previous experiences that those girls looked up to her with a mix of awe and reverence; it was a direct result of Andrew’s over-the-top introduction video that presented her as the ultimate hero and leader. She’d already asked him to tone it down, to no avail.
She didn’t feel all that special. But those girls thought she was, and she did her best to inspire them. Because they were all heroes-to-be.
