Summary: Jungkook joins the tug-of-war.
“Hey, what’s going on?”
“Kookie, help!” screamed Jimin.
It was the work of a moment for Jungkook to join Jimin and Taehyung’s side of the tug-of-war. The hyungs were on the other end of the rope, pulling with all their might.
“We’re going to win now!” taunted Taehyung.
“Don’t get cocky, kid!” growled Yoongi.
A minute later, the maknae line was dragging the hyungs across the line.
“What did we win?” asked Jungkook.
“One of them has to be the mermaid in the water show,” said Jimin, grinning.
“Oh.” Jungkook’s face fell. “The loser gets to be the mermaid?”
“Oh, Kookie. You…you want to be the mermaid?”
“Of course, who wouldn’t want to be a mermaid, Minnie?”
“I don’t,” said Taehyung.
“I don’t, either,” admitted Jimin. “But…” He looked over at the hyungs who were seething.
“Hey!” shouted Jimin. “It wasn’t a fair fight because Kookie joined late.”
“Yeah,” said Taehyung.
“Let’s have a rematch but one-one-one,” said Jimin. “Kookie versus…” He looked.
“Joon might beat me,” whispered Kookie.
“Nah,” said Taehyung. “Who really, really, really doesn’t want to dress up as a mermaid?”
Later, Yoongi was offering his hand.
“Sorry, kid. It’s just grampa strength.”
Jungkook pretended to pout.
