Summary: Charlie relates his personal investigation to an activity from his childhood
When he was a kid, Charlie liked to skip stones. He wasn't any good at it. Most times, it just felt like he was throwing pebbles into the water and watching the ripples develop. It fascinated him though, seeing how big the ripples would become, or throwing another rock right after and seeing the interplay on the surface of the water.
He felt like that now, conducting his own investigation. Tossing out rocks and seeing what the effects would be. Would the ripples from the questions he was asking be enough to disturb the people who wanted to keep the status quo? How far out would they go?
He couldn't wait to find out.
