Over the past couple of years, David Wymack had dealt with his fair share of nonsense. Whether it was from the press, the school, the league itself or the players, if he wasn't hit from it from one side, it came from another.
And all of it seemed like a damn picnic when Kevin Day decided that he needed to have Neil Josten join the Foxes. The kid had issues that would fit him in with the rest of the squad. Based on his initial hesitance to join the team, David thought he'd be the sort of player that would keep his head down and his mouth shut.
It took one moment on a talk show set to change all of that. Neil let his mouth run away with him as he stood up to the so-called king of Exy, Riko Moriyama. Now, Kevin was freaking out about the Ravens painting targets on the Foxes' backs.
He wondered if Abby would be up to taking a long vacation. Maybe somewhere with a beach. Wherever it was, it needed to be far away from here.
