I never meant to kill you. I just wanted you away from me.
I can remember pushing you away- I don't even think I pushed that hard, and then you were gone, over the railing and onto the cold floor below.
But not before calling my name-
Toby, no!
It was all so fast. You were there and then you weren't. I remember my hand reaching out.
Like you wanted me to, like you always wanted me to.
You always had a hold on me, until you didn't.
You shouldn't have tried so hard to hold on to me.
I never meant to kill you.
But I'm glad I did.
