Title: Avenging Angel
Fandom: L.A. Confidential
Character: Bud White
Rating: Teen
Prompt: Justice
Word Count: 158
Warnings: Mentions of d/v
Summary: Bud had a mission
Bud White was an avenging angel out on the street, forever seeking justice for his mother by punishing those men who hurt women. He would use his fists to make the point- these women weren't to be trifled with. It didn't matter if they were hookers or cleaning ladies or upscale society types who covered their bruises with a layer of makeup; he'd made a vow to himself when he was chained to that radiator. Never again.
Some had accused him of going overboard, of enjoying laying into a wife-beater. Bud always stopped short of outright killing, though in a few cases, he wished he'd completed the job. Some of the women he could convince to leave, some of them he lost. He did what he could, ultimately the decision to stay or go was theirs.
And, should things go south for them again, Bud would be there to pick up the pieces and take care of business.
