Title: Another Day, Another Hotel Room
Fandom: Queer as Folk (UK)
Characters: Stuart Alan Jones/Vincent Tyler
Rating: Teen
Prompt: Mistake
Word Count: 157
Summary: Will today be the day that the journey ends?
Every day they were in America, Vince would open up his eyes in the hotel room of whatever city they were currently visiting and wonder if today would be the day that Stuart would realize that he'd made a mistake and he'd awaken to an empty bed. Then a noise would catch his attention, a jangle of keys, the rustle of the complimentary newspaper, or the shower running, and he would breathe more freely.
Every day they were in America, Stuart would look up from his morning coffee and catch Vince's eye. He never let on but a part of him always wondered if today would be the day that Vince would say he was tired of this and want to go back to London. Then Vince would smile and Stuart would know they'd have another day here.
They would continue down this path with no observable end in sight, and that was fine by them both.
