Title: Tell Me
Fandom: All for the Game (The Sunshine Court)
Pairing: Jean Moreau/Jeremy Knox
Rating: Teen
Prompt: True Story
Word Count: 226
Summary: Jean wants to know more about Jeremy
“Tell me a true story about you,” Jean asked Jeremy.
“I'm not interesting,” Jeremy replied.
“Let me be the judge of that.”
“I don't like talking about myself. Can that be my truth?”
“That can be your truth, but that's not what I asked. Tell me something about yourself.”
“Why do you want to know so bad?”
“Isn't that what couples do?”
“I don't know.”
“That's what Neil and Andrew do.”
“You really want to use Josten and Minyard as the go-to example for how to have a relationship?”
“It seems to work for them. Maybe they ask each other questions though. Do you want me to ask you a question?”
“You can ask, but I might not answer.”
“Okay. Why don't you get along with your family?”
“My family can be a lot like the Ravens in terms of expectations, but instead of Exy, it's politics. They have a tendency to judge some of the things I've done, some of the choices I've made. It does not make for a pleasant environment and I'd rather avoid them if possible.”
“Oh.” Jean paused for a moment to think. “Jeremy?”
“What?” Jeremy couldn't keep the edge out of his voice.
“Thank you for telling me.” Jean wrapped his arms around Jeremy, holding him tight. He had more questions, but the answers would have to wait for now.
